Thanks for all your well wishes and to those who braved what could have been a couple of overly interesting meals and events over the weekend. I’m now ready to return to work, although it feels like I haven’t been away.

The long awaited, much postponed pie n ale evening is on at the carrot tonight (Thursday 23) from 7.30 until about 10 and it would be excellent to see a few more of you, trying out some new fare, both pies and ales, and let us know what u think. The pies are both meat and vegetarian, but we’re also looking at providing gluten-free crusts to get that ever increasing proportion of “non-wheaties” tucking in too. Ales range in colour and strength from under 4% to 7% to taste a few and find your perfect blend. Its an art form…
