Not much happening at the Carrot over the summer, but what there is will be pretty good.

GOLF -The following day (Saturday 22nd) we have golf at Hollingbury in the DOGS Open (And Exposed), but if you can’t make that we follow it up quite quickly with a return visit to Haywards Heath on Friday 4 August (3pm for a 4pm start). Both of these events cost a measly £30 and include food beforehand.
Football – Are you old? are your friends old or even older? This year we implement the brain child of Micheal Chapman and have our first Elders 8 a side tournament on Saturday 7 October. Believe it or not we are almost at team capacity so if you want to get a team in let us know PDQ. All players MUST be 40 or over, with 2 over 50’s in the mix as well. All the action (inertia?) takes place at Downlands 3 G pitch in the afternoon. ID will be checked (with whatever failing eyesight we have left).
Comedy – SO it would be too easy to just have a football tournament, or just comedy, so we have combined the two and the next big bash HA HA HAssocks takes place at Adastra Hall on Saturday 7 October, a shortish while after the football. ..and then we’ll have another one on Fri 10 November just to keep you on your toes. Tickets and fuller information on this will be available by the end of July, and you can even go double bubble and get two tickets ( 7 October & 10 November) for £20.
The Purple Carrot itself will be closed from the end of July and most of August on a general day to day basis as we revamp a few things here and there, so perhaps give us a ring (01273 841296) or m: email@example.com to check we are in residence. Also do look out for the odd PC inspired event at JJ’s cafe…it could become a feature
