short sharp sizzling sunday service, and other stuff

after the (relative) success of the last two weeks we’ve decided to let you all come and eat and imbibe for a short time on a Sunday over most of the summer months.
Whether this turns out to be a good idea time will tell, but I can’t think of any food stuff better at sorting out a good Saturday night than one of our Sizzling Shakshukas,(other food available – especially bacon, yummy yummy yummy bacon) or a better tasting coffee, Open 10.30-2.15ish that’s it. Get it while you can.

Also coming up at No.6 is our first board and other games night, organised by people, not me, rock up from 7pm on Wednesday 23 May – until about 9.30pm- if it goes well we’ll look at holding them every month. Food and drink will be available, but it is not a prerequisite of attending that you buy some, although one tiny bite might just set off the taste buds and who knows what might happen…

Things definitely not to be forgotten also include, right there at the forefront this Monday (tomorrow) The Monthly Quiz. We open from 7.15 quiz starts by 8, several teams already coming probably room for a couple more – jackpot of £70 to be attempted. This month it’s £5 to enter with a free glass of wine / bottle of beer to start you off. BYO with a small corkage until we get a full – time licence.

Even more pressing than the quiz, this very Sunday afternoon Reckless Dave defends his very own “Ball on A Spring” trophy in one of DOGSoc’s major golfing events of the year, the Freestone Made-Up Cup @ Hill Barn Golf club – 3pm start – want to play? better get your skates on.
