About time we sent out a public service broadcast to let folks know what’s going on
Firstly – YES the Monthly Quiz is indeed on this evening, being the 2nd Monday of the month. Doors open from 7.15pm – there is food should you require nourishment – and the quiz gets underway at 8pm prompt! we are usually finished by 10pm (unless there is needless questioning of the quiz-masters integrity and parentage – code violation lose a point)
Coming up this week we also have Knit and Natter – Tuesday 11th @ 7pm – all welcome to come along and join this friendly bunch who meet every two weeks and I believe sometimes even cast a few stitches
Wednesday 12th sees the return of the monthly Games evening – again all are welcome to turn up and have a go at whatever is being played, last month there were Zombies competing with Scrabble, and again food is available
Saturday is the Sports and Social Club Golf Championship @ Bletchingly, so if you haven’t got yourself signed up for that yet you better get hold of Aaron pdq. A grand day out with breakfast, hitting balls, banter and finished off with BBQ at the social club
Friday 21st sees the return of Paul’s Popular Pop QUiz – 7pm for 8pm start. It’s best to book this one, to avoid disappointment (or sitting outside on your own) and a curry smorg awaits all those who wish to partake of food.
Regular evening opening returns, but not until October on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday where a tasty range of treats are available from the Six Quid Supper Slate. If in the meantime you have a burning desire to meet up with a few friends / book-club / origami society / whatever and you want a space and a bit of food drop us a line and we’ll see if we can accommodate.
We will also be opening regularly on a Sunday from 10.15 – 2.15 later in September. The menu will be a cut down version of the regular offerings with a focus on Shakshuka, a Vegan lunch, and a Sunday breakfast.
Eventually we will become licensed but until then you are very welcome to bring your own alcohol and we’ll charge you £1.50 corkage for the pleasure of using our glasses and ice 🙂
Finally keep your eyes open for the return of Giles’ Supper Club – early October, and even further afield The Treason Show supported by HA HA HAssocks returns to give a review of the year on Saturday 15th December @ The Hassocks Pub function Rooms
