This week 7 years ago we incorporated purple carrot enterprises. The mainstay of this venture has been the coffee shop, but we to try and offer more than just damned fine coffee, succulent food and general bonhomie. Over the years we have put on, hosted, helped promote and sponsored comedy events, many wine and other tastings, golf days, football tournaments for young and old, monthly quizzes, WaterAid campaigns, treasure hunts, community runs, book groups, art exhibitions, Paulies Popular Pop Quiz, cake making comps and so much more.
So to celebrate all things Carroty we got ourselves licenced for the week – got some excellent wines and beer from Southdowns Cellars for you all to have a go at and aimed to put on a plethora of events and give away lots of things. Unfortunately due to bereavement this has all be rather curtailed and so although the licence remains we will only be partially open this week
Sunday – a fine (not weather) golf competition at Seaford head was won by Steffano Bono
Monday – very soon we have the monthly quiz – starts at 8pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday we are open as usual 8-3pm. Thursday we will be closed.
We have also had to postpone the board games evening scheduled for Wednesday
Friday we have the eagerly awaited return of Paulies Pop Quiz 7.15pm for 8pm start (booking advisable)
We will NOT be open for evening food on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, but back to normal (6-9pm) as of next week
