as part of our events season – Nothing Ever Happens In Hassocks – we now offer you comedy, and the chance to chortle with some excellent stand-up’s venturing into the murky fug which is beneath the other side O’ the Downs. You may or may not wear a hat!

Local comedy genius Stephen Grant
will pleasure you all with his master of ceremonies expertise  and introduce you to three fine acts

Ian Moore’s laconic observations on life, from the problems of using the wrong vocabulary in a German Pizza Hut to an almost pathological hatred of most forms of physical exertion, have proved hugely successful with live audiences all over the world from Australia to China, and the Phillipines to the Middle East.

Tom Deacon is one of the hottest young comedians and presenters on the circuit. Tom has made guest appearances on BBC2’s The Rob Brydon Show, Dave’s One Night Stand and ITV2’s Fake Reaction and this year he performed at The Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow in sold-out, 1000-seater theatres.

As a top black comedian on the UK comedy circuit, Rudi Lickwood is far more than just a stand-up. Rudi’s recent achievements including earning his status in the ‘Black 100+’ awards for the greatest Black British Achievers, picking up a BECA award for outstanding contribution to comedy, and taking up a high-profi le request for Rudi to host an exclusive Brit Awards after-show party.
